LOL ------ I have always been of the feeling OPSEC is stuff your sailor doesnt tell you. or better yet your sailor doesnt even know !! OR ship movements that are not for public. Anything public is NOT OPSEC, but Iam also a true believer better to err on the side of caution.

They change his duty section from 4 to 8. * is when in SD and four when on ship traveling. Some how he is always on duty for holiday. He has no attachments at present but would like to BBQ with friends when they are in SD. Can't be done when you are on the ship. So a smaller goup get together the day after if they have off. Try if the are on ship the ships intials or in japan try JAP. We use SD for Reagans home port all the time. SD is to big to worry that someone could hunt him down. Friends know to use his cell when I say he is in SD. OSPEC when the ships presence is published in the paper and on the 5 o'clock news is strange. So I just don't tell where he is exactly works for me and him. I might tell you what he has done or where and what he did when he visited a place. He never does anything that any other sailor might not do. I love to post pictures on my facebook cause tghat is where family looks and he is no longer doing what is in the pictures.

You bet RIMPAC 2010. Pictures and news articles all over. ON the Ronald Reagan starting his 5th year on board. He and friends rented a car they were outside of city looking for a local place to eat. No tourist traps. I am so glad to here his voice had only been 10 days. Felt like forever. He said there are not hotel rooms avaliable this time like there normal are. Working port so has to spend more time on the ship.Holiday duty. Has duty every holiday. Not missed one since last November unless on leave. He has a get out of duty for 30 days pass that he could use. I think he is saving it for rithg before he changes duty stations. They get a book of special passes they can use when they re enlist. Good thing they don't even give them a cake anymore for after the ceremony. Wish we had known. We grill burgers and dogs and had macaroni salad and chips. It was fun re enlisted at the pool ta his apt complex. Ship was off limits due to schelduled maintence.

Call from Hi late last evening. Working port duty today and 4th. So I heard his voice. His cell phone works there. Kind of nice for a change. I got to call him back as I missed out on his call at first, working. I guess visiting Hi gets old when you visit 5 or 6 times and HAVE a beer budget at a champagne port. Sort of like Daubi...
