Tim this may sound strange but the envelope of his boot camp photos will be very important to you. They stayed in the living room for a long time now they are back in his room. We have a large Photo here in the living room. A 5x7 on the computer hutch. I really have to be able to see him when I message him. He has an e mail address on the ship and a face book account. We have conversations electronically every couple of days. Special codes for dates. My son is MM2 on Ronald Reagan . I will send him flat rate box Priority mail on monday. Little things he likes. Out to sea for RIMPAC. Will be back in port in time for football.

4 years ago I sound like Tim. That was the most anticipated trip we ever took. The Navy retired Dad and veteran Mom. Then May topped it with the re enlistment trip to San Diego back in may topped it. Hopefully your son ordered a copy of the DVD from the PIR. Love it watch it usually once a year. When his friend was in boot camp showed it to his 5 year old son who was going out to PIR for his Dad. The little guy watched and was so excited. Only dissappointment was Justen was not there with his Dad. Hope you have a good trip . We spant the weekend there as Justen's school was at Great Lakes. It was fun I had been there 31 years ago for hospital corps school.

Wait till you see him, it's amazing they just stand taller and hold themselves differently. had to explain but when you see him you'll understand. you'll go Wow, look how much he's growna dn matured, you send them away kids and they come back men and women! their mannerisms....hard to put into words, you're just so damn Proud! we were before but just wait, you can't help but cry. we only got to spend 1 1/2 hours with her, she was a grad-n-go, when she finished A school it was fri. she started C school on mon. it was a whirl wind she had shin splints that turned into stress factures, was offered a medical discharged and said NO! when she finally got to come home she was in a wheel chair, with air cast on both legs 24/7 but she never gave up her dream, she's got the spirti and fight in her. got side tracted sorry. glad you got your letter Tim give your wife a hug from me. (my husband had to take the first letter away from me and put it in her scrape book I almost ruined it, reading it so much and carring it around with me.)

you know- you said something to key on.....I think the biggest change in our kids is seeing them go from thinking "I can't do that" to "heck yeah--- I can do anything I'm called on to do"

LMAO -I meant did your wife mean oh no, your staying on this group or oh no, you can't leave this group? If she's your tick, you must be the chain around her neck. (no offense us women have to stay together) sounds like a fun (if long) trip. when is PIR ? the bubbles are for the neighbors (lol) so they don't see what's in the pool/bath!
