Almost lost my baby sister yesterday. She is a civilian and a Doctor. Illness has been an issue for the last year and 1/2. Spent an hour or more on the phone with my son. He is alright and getting ready to deploy. He had to tell me about what advancements are not happening. Almost a zero cycle in his rate. No one made MM3 one person made MM2 He just made MM2 last cycle so not time yet for him to try an advance. I graduate June 21 from BSN program. Then will try to catch up with you my friends. I am not ignoring you just terribly busy with last 2 classes. He deploys soon for the summer. We have not had him home for the last 4 years in the summer.
Check out these sites to see what the RR and my son are doing not an OSPEC violation they are from Navy press releases.

Hey ladies I know you like to help out our kids. Please go to Pepsi refresh and vote for Molly's adopt a sailor. They are trying to win to get money to help send those packages to our kids. For any of you that don't know Molly has a group on Navyformoms and the group does all kinds of exciting things. Check out her group too.

Hello to everyone. Time to take a deep breath and then breathe. Finished with class. Start the last 2 next Monday. Only11 days and a wake up until we go to San Diego. Justen's re-enlistment is set for May 6th. We are having a little reception with burgers and dogs ect. after at pool side. Will be back in Pa. on the 11th. Daughter is upset. She is staying home and taking care of house and Dogs. Oh well, someone has to. She has been off on trips all over with her friends. Hope all our sailors are well.

Thanks for the advice and info. I know he will like it there. It is just a hard pill to swallow for me , the MOM.LOL He is my youngest and because of this the last to leave home. So feeling somewhat deserted...LOL

Oh Phyllis, I know the distance is of concern to you but Sasebo is a beautiful area. We lived in Yokosuka for many years during my hubby's Navy days, our son was disappointed that he could not get orders there...poor slug had to go to Hawaii!

Tell you son to invest in a nice camera, go out and see the sites, there is a festival for EVERYTHING there and the people are fabulous and perhaps you can save your $$$ and go visit at some point. Wishing him well!

Hi Ladies
Latest on my sailor. He has to report to Sasebo by May 26th. He is assigned to USS Guardian. He gets 15 days of leave before reporting to duty. And it seems as though he will be stationed there for the duration of his enlistment. My heart is heavy as a MOM...but excited for him as my son on his road of discovering the world.
