Jim is home (Life is good and it is great have him home). Gee they sure do grow up quickly. Since he has been home our house is grand central station with all his friends coming over to check in. Since he will be home for only a few days, the plan is celebrate next Sunday. So tonight need to get the tree up and tomorrow plan for a feast so we can celebrate. Celebrating early or later really does not matter as long you have your kids/family in tow that what counts. Take care and Happy Holidays to all from the Great White North.

I am still having some computer issues. Hopefully I can complete my Algebra/college/computer class. Last day is the 17 and then we may send the computer off for more work.
I am so happy Justen made E5 he is not sure when they are putting it on. Usually they Frock them in about 10 days. That means they put it on but do not get the pay raise until later. Due to the fact people will soon be on Christmas leave no telling what will happen. 22 Days until Justen comes home. I get a big pay check the day before Christmas. No telling what after Christmas sales we may find. I guess there are a couple advantages to being late to celebrate Christmas.

please let us know if you see any issues with the site...I generally stay logged on 24/7 at home (with my 6 -year old Dell system) and don't have any issues with the site that I don't have with any other.....

thank you Paul! i know nothing about computors and the net, this is the only time i'm on.

Yes! LOL i'm at least 10 feet tall, i'm in the clouds somewhere. i'm sure she's busting too, can't wait to here from her.

Thought I'd take a minute Blondie to respond.....I've found that when I have issues like the one you are describing that it's almost always on the user's end....I had one of those today when chat disappeared from my screen. I re-booted...and all is well....it's generaly a good idea if you are using windows to re-boot once a day anyway to clear the memory and "reset" everything to a ground state so to speak.......

And congrats and a Bravo Zulu to your daughter....should make you feel 10 feet tall!!

Cora and Crystal, i've been having trouble with this site, have typed but wouldn't let me send. hopefully this time it will work, the box in middle is gone. Anyway, can't remember how to send PM's so will tell you here. My daughter got her advancement! and scored the highest! this is the second time, the first time she got the highest sscore ever. not sure what her score was this time, still no communications, so hearing it from her superiors, they wrote," the support over here is astounding we are hitting the roof we are so Proud of her. thank you.......she is flying high right now, we will see if we can get permission for her to call home soon." no kids to hug, hubby's t his work i'm at mine, so thought i'd jump on her and brag alittle. hope everyone is well and having a great day.

crystal, how exciting, i do envy you but will just rejoice and share your joy! okay? 27 days!! Yes, kids are the hardest, we lost a total of 5 in spet. and oct. but this one was especially hard. my daughter has aslo lost a roommate over there...to close to comfort for good old mom. sorry you couldn't sleep, i was up at 4:00 but no computor at my house had to wait until 7 when i came to work. praying fro advancements for both our kids! she was hoping to get hers before her 2 favorite officers leave even if they couldn't give it to her, she wanted them to know. life is tuff, when you move around so much, so far from home. the Admiral put them on 24 OPS yesterday, cut communications, i got a rushed e-mail telling me and an i love you, God's blessings, the title was Just Breathe! LOL she knows me well. gotta get working here, haven't finished month ends yet, and patients are arriving for another day, week, month...closer to seeing her again. LOL have a great week!

Blondie, The ticket is purchased. He comes in on the 28 at 6:30pm into Elmira NY. 28 days now. We will wait to have Christmas when he is here. We have used new years eve and new years day for the last 3 years.
Glad you got to talk to your daughter. It makes them not seem so far from home. The classmate deaths can be bad. That is part of why my son joined the Navy. The first year out of school he had 3 deaths from his class that was only 180 students. He had a friend a year younger die in Iraq. Now he just keeps a list of names. No one real close since he left home.
Hope your day at work was good. We had a long day. I slept for several hours and now am awake. I should try and get back to sleep. Will write again soon. We should hear about advancement exams later this week. Justen is anxios. He missed E5 by less than 1 point last cycle. He studied more this time. He also earned his good conduct ribbon and air war fare pin. Each thing helps with points toward advancement. So we should have word this week.
