Let us know how you all make out. I bet you have a ball. I remember coming home for my sisters wedding. I took 20 days leave. I took so many pictures. I was only stationed in Florida. She and her husband lived across the street after they were married. It was great. We were 1000 miles from home but she ended up across the street. Both our husbands and I were stationed in Jacksonville Fl. I am sure this won't happen to your girls . Just enjoy every minute and we are waiting to hear the stories.

yes, she's up to date, but it's just the thought of who all will not be at the wedding, and her first chance to see other members....we just keep focussing on the good thank you for you advice

You know if you have kept her current she will do alright with the deaths. My grandparents both died while i was in the NAVY. I could not come home even though I lived with them most of my life. My parents and grandparents all raised my sisters and I. We were a large family . It reminds me of the Waltons. P am sure you will be rejoycing in her sisters wedding. This will help lessen the loss. There will be moments of sadness. But oh the joy of new love and family, enjoy and have fun.

crystal, safe travels too the Reagan, they will be in my prayers. i also shall see my daughter in late Oct. and can hardly wait. it will not be the home comming that she was hoping for, we have lost three afmily members in Sept. the last two only 7 days apart. so tho we look forward to seeing her and having a wonderful wedding, there seems to be a cloud above us. so i to hope for time to fly. please keep us and all our military in your prayers also.

Well the Reagan is on the way home again. I can hardly wait for late October. I can only hope the time goes by quickly. Never seems to happen that way. It will be nice to know my son is a phone call away again.

Welcome to all the new mom's. It's been a long time, again, since I've been on. August got really busy. I hope all those sailors who have been ill are now healthy. Those of you who have sailors coming home for a visit...woohoo! Can't say I'm one who likes to cook. I can, just don't like to.
Cindy, would you come cook for me when Morgan's home in November?! I'll come chat with you and Evan when he's home next month. Sounds fair. ;-p Those of you who have a sailor deployed, they are always in my prayers.
Crystal, the only good thing about fall is the football! I love my BSU Bronco's but since they out priced me, I'm a member of the Couch Bronco Nation. My two guys know when they are playing, the tv's mine. If my kid was playing high school football instead of tennis, I'd be out on the bleachers screamin for the team. I think it's awesome that your son loves to watch his cousin play.
Jodster, what's going on with your son? Is he liking school?

In 1 month my son will be here in Pennsylvania with us for 8 days. I am really looking forward to the short time with him. We have planned a night out on Wednesday. Going to a Jr. High football game to watch his 13 year old cousin play then extended family out to dinner. He will remember playing at that age. I hope the weather is nice that early evening.

my opinion it's never to soon to transfer to shore duty preferably in the USA. i miss my daughter terribly.

I am so glad this deployment is ending. To bad I think we are going to end up doing this 2 more times before he finishes his enlistment. We had a conversation about him being to close to the end to transfer from sea duty to shore.
