HooYah Glenn!  Bravo Zulu to your daughter...even though she did not make to the ranks of the rescue swimmer, she proved that she can accomplish virtually anything she sets her mind to.....the physical requirements to become a rescue swimmer are extraordinary and she will always be able to hold her head high for what she did accomplish.

Glenn, All the best to K in her future!  She is indeed a remarkable young woman that should be proud of what she has done and where she will be going.  Indeed, all she has learned and done will prepare her well for this next phase.  The Navy is stronger because of sailors like K who always give their best.  God Speed to her and keep us informed of what she accomplishes.  No doubt it will be much!

She was 2 classes behind my son. He was shocked when she didn't make it he said for a little thing she was a beast in the water and could hang with the guys.

My wife had a chance to follow up with a few of her instructors the final week, we had gone to P'Cola for the graduation that didn't take place. They said just what your son said, she set the bar for many females that will follow her, even those few that will make it in the future will not achieve what she did, save for being able to pass ALL of the rescue evolutions. We are very proud of her, she would have been only the 31'st felale to make it since the early '80's. She is now training for Flight Engineer on the P3 Orion, A school starts Monday.
