from another site: Starboard D is a holding/training period right before RSS. Your sailor could be in Starboard D for a couple weeks or a month...just depends on how fast they are classing people up. When they are in Starboard D they are working out, or "survivors" for the RSS students. They are in the pool playing out senarios and the RSS students rescue them.

prayers for all, my son just got home Sunday from his first cruise, we didn't let him out of our sight until we had to fly home yesterday

Just posted a Pic of Daughter Valerie welcoming home her husband 1st Lt. Kelsey Gibson after a year in Afghanistan. She has just recently graduated from TBS as a 2nd Lt. and now stationed at Camp Pendleton with her husband!
