Latest word from ombudsperson is that the two missing are the pilots. No word yet from my son. Hopefully busy looking for the two. No names released of the two missing or the three rescued. Praying for the families of the missing and of all involved. A sobering reminder to us all that this is not just fun and games.

Hey Navy family HSC-6 just lost a helicopter in the Red Sea. Crew of 5. Three rescued and stable, two missing. HSC-6 operates off of the Nimitz and has a Det on the Rainier. No word as to which ship the helo was from. My son as well as Wayne Bradford's serve on HSC-6. Please keep all involved in prayer.

My dad made his "final flight home" today to be with the Lord.  Pic was just uploaded.  Was a 2nd Lt. in the USAF and got to fly the first fighter jets, the F80 shooting star.  Both grandchildren AWR2 Rescue Swimmer Garrett Krygier and 2nd Lt. Marine Valerie Gibson will miss him too!

Well my son graduates from Air Crew School tomorrow then he will have to wait 2 to 3 months for RS school. He is being told there is a big bottle neck in pipeline for rescue swimmers. I guess this is part of the hurry up and wait.

C.R. yes there is a graduation at the end .... Its a small one but its nice to go see him too.... many places to visit when you are there like the museum , beaches and the forts
