My sons best friend is a DOR from SWCC, He said the SAME thing ! It was hard to get motivated again but when he got to SERE he felt like he had to be a leader and a motivator for the other guys and since then he has never looked back.

Great picture Thomas ... Thanks... Chris was in San Diego last year in BUDS and has been to the building ( Not through the doors) ... He is excited to get through this and move on .... Its been hard to pick him back up after BUDS , But I feel he is doing better now that things are moving for him . He is looking at the prize at the end . I too respect all who go through this rigorous training .

As I told my son, NOBODY fails SERE. Failure is not an option. I wanted to make sure that he understood that he had no choice but to pass. I have the upmost respect for all of these young men who have passed through these doors, going in, and coming back out forever changed and trained for the worst scenarios of war.

Wayne, this is a pic of my son outside SERE School in San Diego. This is where your son will be. Not alot  he could talk about but like everyone else he does not want to do it again. I took this picture because that slogan is one of the best I have seen. Good Luck to your son. He will get through this. The toughest part was not being able to talk to him for 10 days...... but its in the past now and he is flying now and could not be happier.

Jim ...Yes I did go to the Air Museum again .... I too love it . I've been there every time I go back . Three times now . Also they have a bus tour of their back lot of aircraft that will be refurbished in the near future .

If anyone is going to to NAS Pensacola I would suggest staying at Navy Gateway on the base . www.dodlodging.net .... 1-877-NAVY-BED . Your sailor needs to get you a chit to stay , but reasonable  prices.
