Congrats to your son Thomas!! Bravo Zulo!
Fantastic news Thomas ... Congrats !!!!
WOW! Great post Calvin! Thank you Paul, Thomas, and Logph for the nice comments and encouragement. Thomas, prayers go out to your son during SERE and the aftermath. His training, commitment, and dedication will prove valuable during this time. A great accomplishment awaits! All the best to him, and all the many other sailors who continue the journey to save the lives of those that are putting their lives on the line for us!
Well said Calvin, thank you
Danny
Guys, I would like to tell you what Commodore, Naval Special Warfare Group ONE,Capt. Krongard told us at SQT Graduation. He explained to everyone how these Fine Young Men made it this far. Their passion and will to become a US Navy SEAL (this apples to everyone) and serve their Country played a very large part in their accomplishment but there’s an underling reason. It is called Family. He explained that what he was taught growing up and the morals and goals his parents instilled in him made a big difference in his future. Each Graduate’s mother and dad were raised according to their individual parent’s values. The graduates were raised with a combination of their own parent’s upbringing. What our Ancestors taught their children, and as the world changed, each generation combined what they had been taught and passed it down to the next generation. What I got from this is: it took hundreds of fathers and mothers combining what their parents taught them to culminate in what each of us teach our own children. It takes good and bad times, truth and lies, success and failures, and many other life lessons to raise our children.
Each of you should be very Proud of your Sailor and know that you and the rest of your family are the reason he is where he is today.
Ditto on the congrats Brad. Your son has come a long ways and no doubt his achievements are due in part to the fine job that you as a dad has done. I know that every time that our sons accomplish something, that we have played such a vital role. Tom, I will certainly be lifting up your son and his group as they go through SERE school. This too shall pass!!
Bravo Zulu AWR2 Krygier! Congrats Brad.....
