There's also McGuires Irish Pub Logph, the place is plastered with approximately 1,000,000 one dollar bills, very interesting decore and the food is good too!
Thanks Wayne, I'll look into that.
Last weekend I stayed at the Days Inn on Pensacola Blvd for $32 a night if that helps Logph .... 10 mins away
Will do Thomas, thanks for the comments.
Logph, You will not regret it! Bring the video camera ! I'm also going to be there for my sons graduation from A school. He is Romeo. He told me that its only about 15-20 minutes and not as "big" as RSS. Being that I work for a major airline and will be in Miami, Im going to jump on a flight to P-cola for the day. He will get his P.O. 3rd class patch that day ! What Dad would not want to see that !
PS...... have him take you to Flounders ! A local hangout for Navy guys and the seafood is really good along with good atmosphere.
Thanks Danny - my son did tell me that he will have liberty, provided class behavior warrants that. Bummer, we have to fly into New Orleans since SWA stopped flying to Panama City. At least the flight is free (reward points).
One more thing Logph, if your sons class has been behaving, they should all be on phase 3 liberty for the weekend and can spend the night off base.
Hi Logph, everyone in the car needs photo id to get on the base and just tell them you're there for a graduation. Graduation should be in the RSS building with parking behind it.
So we are going next week after all. Hectic phone calls to change all reservations. Navy Lodge is booked so we are staying in town. Can anyone help with the procedure to get on base? We are arriving late the night before graduation so we may not be able to get to the base until the morning of the graduation.
We had a blast last weekend visiting Chris and the base . Went to the National Naval Aviation Museum , Fort Barrancas and Fort Pickens...Also went to the movie Chris wanted to see "Act of Valor". Great times!
