Great info guys.
The wife and I are heading that way late April so now we are thinking of staying at the lodge. Did you have to pay online or just reserve online?
Hi Timothy,
What Doug said is correct. Your son has to be with you when you heck in or he can stop by show his ID on the day your arriving. My son is actually on his way there right now and staying the weekend so we just did all of this. For the price you cant beat it. around 75 per night and your right on the beach. if you are there on i think Mon. Tues or Thurs. you will get to see the Blue Angels practice also. Book EARLY though, it fills up fast......... Tom
Timothy, I have been looking into that myself. I contacted my son and he said that Navy Gateway also offers lodging but your son has to reserve and pay for the room. As for Navy Lodge, I had gone ahead and registered with them and even went through the process of reserving a room, short of making the payment, and did not see any disclaimer that prevented me from making all arrangements on my own. Have your son ask around. Many of the other sailors have made arrangements for visitors already. This is the link for Navy Gateway Pcola: https://navyreservations.dodlodging.net/checkAvailability.do?proper...
Good Morning all dads ! Hope every one is doing fine. (and your sailors). Our Sailor is chugging along just fine in school. Half way done in Romeo school. He has made some awesome friends in there, He cant wait to get back to the more physical stuff though. He is scheduled to graduate in early March so we want to go down there at that time and get him away from the base for a while. Does anyone know of some decent places on Perdido Key ? I have looked up some places but i always like to hear about places from "word of mouth".Thanks again and you all have a great day.............. Tom
Nice to hear your sons are coming home for Christmas Brad and Logph, that's awesome. My son's coming home from Jax on Friday for 10 days. He just found out his duty station will be Mayport with HSL 48 Vipers.
Hooyah, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all!!!
Danny
Congrats on Garrett coming home Brad. Robert is also coming home for Christmas. I asked him what he wants to do when he gets back: 1. Go to In-N-Out for a burger 2. Sleep!! Merry Christmas everyone!!
Finally, for the first time in 3 years Garrett is coming home for Christmas! We are excited to pick him up Wed night. Also, his sister and her husband (2nd Lt. in Marines) is also coming home to Orlando from where they are based at Miramar Air Base in San Deigo, California. What a great holiday time it will be. Praise God! Hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!
