Congrats to your son Robert!  All the best to him and the Black Jacks!  Congrats also to Jim's son getting through SERE.  That is one they are always glad to be through with!  I echo Danny's remarks, I went to every graduation for my son, and I know it meant a lot to him.  Garrett should just be getting back from Saipan to his home base at Astugi, Japan after being on Det Alpha on the USS Cowpens.

Congrats and good wishes to your son Robert. My son Tom is waiting to class up for FRAC at Mayport, he should be done with that in February and then off he goes.

Quite alright Blake, in my opinion it's worth it to go to any of your son's graduations, it really means a lot to them. On a lighter note my son was telling me that since he's waiting to class up at FRAC, they asked for volunteers to go teach elementary students how to swim, he said it's fun. That's some pretty cool PR if you ask me.

Hi Blake, I went to my son's RSS graduation and he had weekend liberty so he got to stay with me at my hotel over the weekend, he had phase III liberty, I'm chatting with him right now and he says he's pretty sure your son should get that as well as long as everything else is in order, discipline wise.  Hope this helps, good luck to your son.

Danny

My son is on hold waiting to be moved to Starboard D and class up for RSS.  I'm planning a trip to visit him in July to coincide with the Pensacola airshow, but I would change the dates to be there when he graduates.  However, he says I he would rather I didn't come when he graduates because he will automatically revert to phase II liberty upon RSS graduation and not be able to do as much with me.  Is this correct?  Can anyone on here shed some light on liberty after RSS graduation?  Thanks in advance!

Just posted a new pic of Garrett and a pilot, both from the same hometown and both families have gone to the same church as well.  The world is indeed smaller everyday.
