Danny that's excellent!  Congrats.  Must feel good to get the training behind him.

As long as I'm here we just got the word our son Tom will be heading to Mayport in about a month to start training with the HSM-40 Airwolves, here's a link:  http://www.hsl40.navy.mil/index.html

We're very proud and excited for him and we have an uncle who lives about 30 minutes away so we can visit more often without having to worry about hotels and all that stuff.

Hi Brent, congrats on your son getting through accs. My son is about a month away from finishing A school and when he moved into the rss barracks I think he had to wait about a week to class up.  Maybe they just have to make room for the new accs and that's why their moving him.  Good luck to him in rss, my son graduated rss in September so if you have any questions feel free to ask.

kinda quiet on this site these days.  Our sailor got through aircrew without a problem and has moved to the rss barracks.  Although he is not yet scheduled to actually start rss.  I hate to ask a question pertaining to "normal", but is this "normal"?  Does the fact that they moved him to the rss baracks mean that he will class up soon?

Good news from the boy.  They did the mile swim last week in naccs.  He said it was not too bad.  He says aircrew school is kind of "fun"?

Sorry for being a bit out of pocket these past couple of weeks.  Had Garrett home from Japan.  He just went back on Sat.  We had some good times with him.  I hope to get some pics up by the end of the week.  Welcome to the group Doug!  Hope the Dads here can help you understand the issues and chllenges you and your sailor will face during the journey towards graduation and getting into the fleet.  Ask your questions and we will attempt to answer them.  Always rooting for our guys to get through the second hardest program the Navy has to offer next to the SEALS.  Hooyah!

Hello fellas!  My name is Doug and I'm from south of Erie, PA.  My son just graduated from boot camp on Friday and was to fly to Pensacola today.  Not sure of his status with all the flight delays and cancellations.  Anyhow, just wanted to introduce myself.

Thanks!
