Brad,

Glad Garrett is coming home for a good visit. I know you all will enjoy seeing him. Conrad is wrapping up with a few more flights to go. He went to SERE back in May.

It will be interesting to see what Squadron he goes to....choices are SD, Guam, or a few spots in Norfolk.

Enjoy seeing Garrett tomorrow and I hope you guys have a great visit.

My son Garrett is back in Japan from his second tour, this time with the USS Cowpens. He is finishing packing as he has leave to come home Tuesday! Yahoo! We look forward to welcoming him home at Orlando Int'l Airport that night. We have him until Dec 11, so we will just have to have Christmas early! What a wonderful Thanksgiving we will have and we give thanks for all the blessings that have been provided to bring him home. All the best to your families and with the great thanksgiving thoughts for you and your sailors!

Brian,
How is Conrad doing? Did he get all the flights in? SOmetimes things get shut down for flights during the holidays, so I hope he got them in before this week. Has he gone to SEAR yet?? More fun to come!!

Brian,
Yes Garrett is with HS-14 and they fly the SH-60 Seahawk today. They will come back to San Diego for retrofit and training in a couple of years to move to the new Helo's. He does not know when for sure, but believes it will be before his 3 yr time in Japan is over.

Hey Brad -

I know that Garrett is with HS-14 in Atsugi. What helicopter do they fly?

Has HS-14 moved to the MH-60S? Is this unit coming back to NAS North Island in the next few years to switch to HSC?

Thanks,

Brian

Got our first call from Sean at P'cola tonight, tired from the 2:00am departure from GL on 11/18. Want's his cell phone and running shoes fedex'd asap! He did state he is in barracks with fellow Div 852 grads, and that A school may not start until late January. Hope he is able to get "leave" and get home for Xmas. Looks like lot's of PT and conditioning until school starts.

Thanks everyone yes he did graduate RSS, now he has to wait for the next class, I wish I could have gone to see his graduation, but he will be home Dec. 18 for a couple of weeks.

Robert, sounds like Cameron graduated RSS?? If so, that is quite an accomplishment! I hope you went to his graduation. If not, at the ceremony they state that this is second only to the SEALS in difficulty of what the Navy has to offer. You should be very proud of him! Congratulations!! Next up is getting his "wings", where are his orders for?
