My son Mark is still in FRAC in SD. Graduates in May. He comes home Dec 17, this Sunday for 10 days. Can't wait. We will go see him graduate in May. Deployment soon after and that will be both a Sad and exciting time

Thanks for the responses, Maybe we can resurrect this group. I will keep NC in the loop of what is going on and I am always open for advice in moving forward. Currently planning for graduation. Haven't heard from my sailor yet except the 1 min call. No news is good news right. I look forward to communications from the group.

Thanks,

Russell Goodson

Was in this group back in 2010 when my son was at RTC.  Still stay in touch with Cora who also had a recruit there then. It's a tough time but talk with each other. There's a brand new world out there for your sailors and they will never be the same. It's a good thing as you will soon find out!

Hi Russell! About time we had some activity here! I am up in Rowan county. My son has been in for almost 3 years, and is a Sonar Tech in Hawaii, or somewhere out under the Pacific as the case may be.

3rd week at BC is a tough time, as the division will not yet have learned to pull together. Things will eventually "click".

To what rating does your son aspire, or is he undesignated?

Hey everyone,

My son Mark is about ready to be in his 3rd week at boot camp.

I currently live in Waxhaw NC just south of Charlotte. I hope to have the opportunity to get to know some of you
