Amazing. The largest contingent of Nukes in the Navy just left for the final deployment on the historic USS Enterprise, to perhaps the hottest and potentially most dangerous place on earth at this time, and no one else mentions a thing about it? Simply amazing.
Nothing wrong with wanting to find out about graduation ceremonies, but It's about serving in the fleet. Your sailors, if they graduate, will serve in the fleet. And that means they will be on board a carrier or sub, and placed in dangerous situations half way around the world.
Enjoy the ceremonies...then welcome to the real world.
Interesting! My son completed prototype at Goose Creek in 2009.
Prototype graduation (at least at MARF) consists of the passing on of the lanyard and a certificate with the instructors and the latest batch of nukes. Low key no outside attendees.
no there isn't
John, I believe the answer to your question is "no" in the sense that it's not a formal event like "A School" graduation where friends and family may attend.
My son left today on his second deployment with USS Enterprise. Cant help but feel a little anxious about this deployment considering all of the noise that those crazy Iranians are making right now.
He should earn promotion to First Class Petty Officer this year.
Hopefully this will be his last deployment. We will be counting the days until his return.
Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his Navy Nuke brethren, as well as the entire crew of The Big "E".
Smooth seas and following winds.
Congrats to those with passing kids.
As mine enjoys power school, we see the light at the end of the tunnel is probably Amtrak, but maybe not.

I made a mistake...she is a non rate FN now. After A school is done she can call herself an EM.
Her "rating" is her job field after passing the tests for it. EM, MM, ET, AO, GS, etc. Her rating will usually be the same for entire career.
Her "rate" will be her paygrade, at this point, E3, or Fireman if in engineering field. EM-FN now will become EM3, aka PO3, third class EM and hopefully keep going in that direction.
My daughter just graduated from RTC and is on her way (well should be there by now) to Goose Creek. She is an EM. Is her rate EM or EMFN?
