You get your dolphins after completing your qual card and oral board on your sub. Same goes for getting your surface pin. Some surface nukes go and get the aviation warfare as well even though it is not a requirement.
Ric - "nerd" is not a bad word in my book! (I'd plead guilty to that accusation).
Hey - a question --- do Nuke ETs get dolphin pins (after qualifying - obviously)?
It is possible that some of our kids are slightly nerdy.
So **#** what.
They truly and literally make the Navy go.
Like propulsion they call it.
Make it move -- yeah --Hoo-yeayh
They do it
We stand back and wonder "how they do that"
Bless em all
This is for Craig. My son is on the USS GHW Bush
Any USS GHW Bush parents here?
Good for her if that is what she wanted. Sucks that they will be on opposite sides of the country now for at least 2+ years. Perhaps I will meet her when I more than likely go there this summer for shore duty.
LOL@ the comments regarding nerdy nukes. Magic the gathering (or Dungeons and Dragons in our day) would have gotten ya thrown outta MP division and sent to hang with the twidgets!
All in good fun.
If he does play those kinds of games I hope you can take some ridicule because he will be made fun of extensively by others lol.
Hi Richard, welcome to the group. I hope your son already plays Magic the Gathering because if not he will have to learn LOL. My son is an ET he is scheduled to graduate from Nuclear Power School in four weeks. It seems like just yesterday he arrived at Goose Creek but it was over a year ago.
