Oh he did say that there are a boat load of people on grad hold. He thought it would have been longer before he classed up. He is an EM

My son just graduated Power School in early October and is starting prototype in December. He had 9 or 10 days leave then he was back and will apparently stay on at GC. He had an apartment just before he left. They have real nice places nearby privately and are used to military so it is month to month. Good luck and go to the ceremony, it was very nice. oh and he got some of the bonus money so that was nice too.

I ask for you - I had like 10 days. MMs most likely go on hold after for 2-4 months. Prototype classes up every two months so you could class up right after leave or have e to wait a bit and get some random job while you wait. The only reason you don't get leave is if you have the opportunity to class up right away and want to.

As I remember, the sailors check out of the barracks right after graduation.  They need to have housing set up so they can immediately move.  Our son received leave immediately for 10 days but that does not always follow.  He stayed in GC so I have no information for those who leave for Balston Spa.
