Thanks for the info on RCOH. I got to see him yesterday and we are all so glad to have him home for awhile. I will give you all an update on how its going for him when he gets to his new assignment. Thanks again for your help.

Kevin, I went through a decommissioning in the shipyard while I was in.  There is  even more work than normal (if that is possible!) for nukes while this work is ongoing.  Duty days, plus 12 hour shifts, plus overseeing and correcting all the work being done by the yard workers.  Responsibility for the plant does not transfer to the yard, just because they are doing the refuel.  I recall a lot of long days and you really get to know the plant!  Hope this helps some, let me know if you have specific questions...

Hello all, I'm still looking for some info on what my son will be doing while his ship the Theodore Roosevelt is in dry dock having its 25 year refuel and overhaul. If anybody here has experience with this or knows where I can find out , please let me know. Thanks!

O Lt - I don't see your note. I will tell you his car is a Chrysler Crossfire. I think it's a 2005 and he's needing about 13000.
If your son is even interested in that model let me know and we can get them together. I have been very impressed with my son and his wifes spending habits so far. She's in coupon cutting club and he was bragging about being debt free, other than the car, after getting the remainder of his bonus last week. Hopefully he didn't have to use all of it. Lt he only wants a bigger car cause they went and bought a German Shepard. Lol.... Add the dog to a cat and a snake. FYI
He did just start Prototype yesterday so I'll get what I get when he wants to give it. : )

My son is still looking for a car, found lots of scams on craigslist. He has found a few that he feels have problems that they are trying to cover up. Cant say that I blame him for rulling them out. At least he is takeing a good look at them. They also have an auto hobby shop there wher they can perform repairs on there own cars. I told him if he was comfortable with it I could walk him thru most repairs. I helped my son rebuild an old turbo 400 transmission while he was still in middle school. They are limmited on what they can take on in the hobby shop. I told my son a ship mate in need is a ship mate in deed

old Lt - Heck don't think of it as turning into a classified.  To me, it's helping another shipmate.  Whatever means to help one of our sailors is great for me.  It takes seconds to read, but the reward for the sailor can't be beat.  Hope you guys can work a deal...

Keep posting, because our sailors are #1!
