Joshua C, my son Cody was in Group 10 I believe. He left immediately for prototype. The "Old Salt" the Captain that had been in for 37 years, I forget his name, looked liked he really cared for each and every young man and woman up there. The one comment made that stood out to me was each answer was a written answer, no truefalse/multiplechoice answers. That takes some real commitment from these young people. Each and every one of them should be proud of their accomplishment.

We stayed at the Quality Inn on Redbank Rd. Yes we would stay there again, it was nice and not a bad price.

When Jennifer, Terrence and myself went to Russell's memorial service at Goose Creek we stayed at the Spring Hill Suites on North Forrest Drive. It is close to the base and everything is close to the base and the highway. And yes we would stay there again

Scott S. See my earlier post about Clifton Park. About a 20 minute drive from Ballston. Has everything in the area you would need. My son absolutely loves it there. I know his friends also looked west of Ballston. Be careful though. There are a lot of people out there that know the sailors have a housing allowance and will try to get every penny they can out of them. They figure the government is paying so what the heck.

Hi David's Mom, my son is also graduating on 9/3 and will be reporting to NY on the 17th (he is comming home for a bit first). Have you heard anything regarding living arrangements in Ballston Spa. Anything you can share would be helpful, getting info from my son during this very busy time for them is like pulling teeth, so anything you might know about Ballston Spa would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Monty. We just returned from GC. My son graduated A school July 30. He and his wife are now in a beautiful home there on base. His power school will begin mid September. Until then he reports 5 days a week for different duties. I'll try to answer any questions you might have. Steve

My son Brandon graduated form bootcamp two weeks and is now stationed at Goose Creek. He is starting his A school there (machinest mate) and is to go into the nuke program after A school. I was looking for general info about the school and Goose Creek Navel Base and area. He is in class 1046.
