Finding adequate housing in Ballston Spa/Saratoga is not difficult. When my son moved there for prototype, he networked with other students and found a house that he shared with three other students in Ballston Spa. When he was picked up for SPU, he rented a room from another student that owned a house nearby until he could get a place more convenient. He then rented a house in Malta with acreage that he shared wtih four other students. He then moved on his own into a newer condo, where he is right now. Four places in thirty months---lol, not bad!

Will do - is your son an MM? My sn said that most of the people in his area are going to try to stay in GC - he would like to see other areas (part of the reason he joined).........

Jeff....My son is also graduating same day and showing interest in Ballston. If either of us gets any info, let's pass it along.

My son will be graduating from power school May 14th and may be going to Ballston Spa for prototype. Any recommendations for renting apartments there? Wanted to make sure we get into a reputable place. I am sure there are some there that Navy people have used and liked. Any info would be helpful - thanks in advance

My youngest is joining the Navy and will start bootcamp in November. It will give him a January PIR. Mike, my son in SC will graduate from Power School in January if there is no delay between the schools. I'm worried that the PIR and graduation will fall on the same weekend! That would be a nightmare! I almost hope there is a small delay between schools then I know it won't be an issue. :0) Selfish mom.

Thanks TFJ, I have the paper at the house explaining all of the "phases". We were trying to figure out when we could for a visit and make a graduation the reason. Mine's an ET and is in the 6th week of A school now. I have heard there could be waits between schools, so I guess theres no way to plan until after they start Power School. Thanks Again.

We leave for SC tomorrow. Spring Break with all three of my boys. My youngest is also joining the Navy in November so this might be the last time I have them all together for a while.
I'll let you know about the Villas. I'm looking forward to staying there, but I have a feeling that a 3 bedroom might be a bit small for all of us. :o)
My son is in section 1016 MT, anyone else on here have a son/daughter in that section?
