I would love to attend my son's graduation from Prototype, but I already made one trip to Charleston for Power School Grad and not sure if I can make another trip. Does anyone know if it is common for Sailors to get leave after Prototype, before they go to their duty stations?

Thanks Jim, no specific question.  I attended both "A" School and Power School graduations.  Power school was very impressive.  I'll wait to see where my son gets orders too, then depending on the ships schedule I'll visit.

I'm about to at the end of this month.

Has anyone attended a prototype graduation?

Looks like it's been quiet here for a while I'm looking forward to proto graduation in October.

My son graduated in June and got his orders about 3 weeks before. He was assigned to Kings Bay which was his third choice after Hawaii and San Diego. Two of his buddies were sent to Guam which neither had requested so its always going to be "needs of the Navy" first.

I ran into a guy in Costco (wearing my Navy Dad's hat) who said most of his class was sent to aircraft carriers in Kitsap even those that had signed up for sub duty.

Thanks Grant/Jim

I was thinking a couple of weeks out to better facilitate housing decisions if a family was in the picture.

Needs of the Navy first. Sorry he didn't get what he wanted.

Does anyone know at about what point in prototype do folks start to look at orders?

Quick questions: What is the web address to see the advancement exam results? When? I know they are posted this month sometime. E5 test.
