Thanks. How about Prototype School?

As I understand it, it lasts around 24 weeks but I am not sure if it is shorter for MM's as A school was.

So how long does Power School last??

GP, my son graduates A school on the 2nd and yeah, he has been told for a long time that power school would start up around Thanksgiving meaning the unlikelyhood of their coming home for the holiday unless they live close to GC.

A school for MM's is about three months, for EM's and ET's it is about 24 weeks.

I am sorry! I thought A School was 3 months. He went to BOOT CAMP May 11th, graduated July 2nd, then went to Goose Creek right after Boot Camp and he and a couple of other guys had to wait a week and a half and then started A school.

Navy Pop. Enjoy the trip. We unfortunately can't make graduation but he is coming home the day after for a week. I told him that we will definitely be there for Power school graduation which if all goes according to the lastest plan will be sometime in June or July.

Sheryl. My son graduates Oct 9. They intially told him power school would start in February. Now he was told it will start in mid-November.

Robert. My son reported to Goose Greek on July 1. He started A school about 1-2 weeks after but graduates Oct. 9. Reading Sheryl's comments about her son only confirms 1 thing. The Navy does what the Navy does and they decide when to do it too! We just go along for the ride.

My son left May 11th, but had to wait one or two weeks to start and then is graduating October 23rd so I guess about 5 months.
