Yes, sorry about that assumption. It isn't something we are used to yet. I read these sites and I don't know half the things they are talking about. It seems in code.

Yes, we have to take the time when they get it. I miss him!

Duh! Gibb slaps himself! about the BC comment. So it sounds like we will have some time over the weekend with the boy then before he ships out to Charleston then.

Wow, almost the same exact experience. Must be common.

We had a similar situation as Sheryl. Our son graduated BC on Friday and was on liberty until Sunday night. He did have to be back on base each evening, time set by POs and depending on watch schedule. We were able to spend quality time with him Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and Sunday. He shipped out on Tuesday and started A school a week and a half later.

But he had to be in at night by 8:30 or so. I got to spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday with him and after Thursday graduation, with the curfew of course. He got to Charleston and actually had to wait a week there before starting classes.

What is BC?

My son was grad and go. He went straight to Charleston, South Carolina. But he stayed 3-4 days at BC before they sent him and I got to spend the time with him at Great Lakes.

My son was basicaly a grad and go, we got 45 minutes with him before he had to head to the airport. But you can go and sit with them at the airport before they go through security. But it is different for all grads.
