Sheryl...My son started A school down at Goose Creek 2 weeks ago. One of the first things they do is take them over to Patriot's Point to visit the Yorktown to give them an idea of what it's like. What rate is your son? As far as the phone and laptop go, my son has both of his and it is very nice when we get that surprise call or e-mail. However, don't expect too much at first. It is very tough schooling down there and most of their time is spent in class or studying. Good luck to your son.

To change your profile, after logging in, click "Settings" located five rows under you name. That will open a profile editor page. Make changes then scroll to the end of the page and hit "Save"

No problem. Thanks. I tried to edit, but I guess this blonde can't figure it out!! I am all out there right now. My son bought a laptop and a blackberry with his money and so it will be nice to Email and call anytime after that Boot Camp isolation. Makes them appreciate us though!

Well I am sure he was happy Mom sent cookies, even if hard! I think next time you guys send them they won't be, I really wanted to get my Last name off here because I read on the Navy Moms site that it is dangerous to put their full names out there. You didn't realize that, but I didn't want to put that out there. It already is anyway until I can figure out how to change my post name. Maybe they will hook up. He says there are 14 people in his class starting next Monday and he is the designated Team Leader. I just called him on his cell and he doesn't know Corey. There must be several classes starting then. I am going to try the cookie thing. I will let you know.

We were in Charleston last weekend - nice area but it intersting how we can get to certain areas of the weapons station but the saiolors in the nuc school have to walk a path through the woods to get to where you can meet them and pick them up

We sent them to NNPTC about 2 weeks after he got there.......so I am not sure of the real story - knowing him he got them and they sat in his locker!!!

Too funny! Where did yo send them? My son just started getting his mail. There was also a delay at Boot Camp when he got is mail, it took a month or so and then he kept getting it. I send him a BD card weeks ago and sent a present a week ago and he got both at the same time! I will just half bake the cookies then? Maybe not.
