Oh and he said he's re-enlisting at graduation.

Brian - at least she will never forget when she took her boards!  Good luck to her....one of our son's roommates takes his on Sunday and our son takes his on Monday.  Has she received her orders yet?

My daughter takes her boards tomorrow. She asked for the earliest possible date and she got the 1st. Not sure why they would do it on a holiday. All crossed fingers and prayers appreciated.

We got a text from our sailor last night - still no orders.  Hopefully soon....

Wishing everyone a Safe & Happy New Year's!

If anyone has a sailor heading to Ballston Spa for proto and is looking for some bedroom furniture and a TV (very reasonably priced!) let us know.  Our son graduates proto 1/23 and will be leaving and doesn't have room to take them in his car.....we can get more info and pictures if anyone is interested.

Happy Monday - Hope everyone had a nice Christmas.  We got to talk to sailor Christmas Eve.  Their "Classy Christmas Dinner" was a success!  He said he might get his orders tomorrow but for sure this week.  Oral boards are scheduled for next Monday.  Here's a picture from Christmas Eve with his NY friend!

Good luck to your son Mike as he moves on to the civilian world. Keep us posted on how things go (ours is just getting ready to graduate proto on 1/23/15 so we still have a long ways to go!).

Please thank him for his service for us.

Once part of the NavyDads family, always part of the Navydads family.  Stop by anytime bud and say hi and let us know and you and your son are doing.  Thanks for raising a great American!

I have been a part of this site for nearly six years now and it has been great.  Thought I would let everyone know our sailor, who is about to leave the Navy has just been offered a job at an industry near Charleston SC.  He is very excited and will put the skills he learned in the Navy to good use at his new job.  Stress levels have gone down considerably.  Thanks to all for their support.  This site has helped in many ways.

I got a text from my sailor this morning and he said they were going to a buddies house tonight for a "classy Christmas dinner".  He said he would send pictures and would call & facetime later.  Makes me happy that he has good friends to spend the day with!

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!  To those that have their sailors home for Christmas - Enjoy!  For those of us who don't I understand and send extra hugs your way.

Peace to all of you!
