My son is half way through A school and hasn't said anything either.

I am a retired Navy Nuc and very active teaching Ham Classes at the school.  I know many personnel at the school Including the CO and XO.  I can assure that the days of hazing in the Navy are gone.  During Indoc classes they are warned against it and told to report any hazing type activities immediately.  It is now a Navy wide policy and strongly enforced.

My Sailor is about half way through Power School and has not mentioned anything regarding hazing or childish behavior at GC.

Gary,  congrats  on your son's graduation.  My son Mike has been at Kitsap since July and love's it up there.  He's on the Kentucky.  Hoping to get out there soon to visit.

Oh Gary - nice that your son got Washington! Glad to hear that graduation went well - that must have been special on the Yorktown!  We were able to visit Patriot's Point when we visited there last year, really enjoyed it.

Douglas - glad to hear that your son is enjoying Kitsap.  It always makes us feel good when they are happy!

Happy 239th Birthday to the US Navy - HOOYAH!

My son in at Kitsap, he seems to like it there.  A lot to do in the area no matter what his interests.  The patrols are hard on parents but my son says he would rather be out because he is doing his job. He has no complaints with being a submariner, seems to fit him.

graduation went great. It was on the USSYorktown at Patriots Point. My son will be heading to Washington.

Gary & Michael - how did Prototype graduation go today?  Where will each of your son's be going?

Dennis - any update on your son - how is he doing?

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Michael, our son is also graduating next Friday. We don't know the time yet but I've been told it might be held on the USS Yorktown. We will be there.
