Thanks for asking, Chuck!

SERE is over, thank goodness! He did fine. At their debriefing he found out he did better than he thought he did. I had to laugh, though...he made it through training without any injuries and then was rushing to get to debriefing on time and went over on his ankle. He said there were officers on his team, so he didn't get the worst of the treatment. Still, he said it was the worst thing he ever imagined and has been through, but that he's glad he had the opportunity.

I was pleased with something he said. I knew he had a friend who will be attending SERE in a month. I asked if he was going to talk to him about it. His response was that if you know all what to expect going into it then you really don't get the most out of it. He felt that  learning how to react and act was a big part of it. Have to say I was proud of his observation.

Hey Suzi....How did the SERES training go?  Is he done yet?

Our son is in the middle of his SERE training this very moment. I am naturally a little worried about him. But, I have a lot of faith in him and his training and I know he will do fine.

Mine is still deployed.  Due back in a couple of months.  His squadron is supporting Operation Tomodachi.

Mine is in Pensacola this weekend while the rest of the Blue Angels are in Lakeland, FL, for a show.  He will be heading to Corpus Christi with them next week.

Sorry, Jim, I don't but welcome to our group!  My son PIR'd in 2006 and is currently with the Blue Angels as a Crew Chief.
