Mike, actually the Tortuga is in port in Sasebo. He flies out this Sunday to South Korea then on to Japan. He found out today that a few days after he arrives, they will be shipping out to Australia....talk about a happy sailor!

That's awesome Lee,Sure seems like are Sailors know what they want. Now does he go back to Pensacola to board the Tortuga?

If tortuga is part of the dry tortugas he should have a blast. when i was in baseball one of the coaches was from miami and he had spent time in that area. he swore up and down that they caught a lobster in that area ( tortugas) that was almost six feet long. so if your son likes salt water fishing and underwater sports hes in for a real treat

Mike, my son's first choice was ship duty in Japan and his second was ship duty in San Diego. Long before he went to GL he made it clear Japan was really his only choice for duty. He is hoping to spend his entire time there. He got to come home on May 1st and will be headin out this Sunday. He reports to the Tortuga on the 25th, so we are trying t enjoy these last few days with him before shipping out.
