Wes classed up on Friday! :) He says he is scheduled to graduate A-school on Halloween. He is happy about that date of course hehehe. Then he will go to fleet and get scheduled for his C-school :). Him and some guys are putting together a study group tonight, class is moving really fast he said and the majority of them are lost. He sounds much better and ready to get the job done!

Hi,
Andrew received his orders Friday. He is off to Hawaii. He has been assigned to a squadron of P-3 Orisons. He is to make a stop at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island for "C" school.
Don't report dates, but he is authorized leave before reporting. I know that he has some plans to attend his brother HS grad and a friends wedding. He must make the decision.

Michele this is great news. I'm glad Wes finally made it to P'cola. It is a more laid back atmosphere than Great Lakes.

I am officially a Pensacola A-school mom now :) Wes arrived yesterday safe and sound! He has 2 months of A-school under his belt so far with 4 or 5 months to go. I seen the forecasted track too Jim and it looks like it could hit P'cola or just west of there! I told my son not to unpack yet so he doesn't have to repack for Ike lol. He probably won't listen or because of inspections he will have to unpack. . . I am looking so forward to hearing all about his experiences and seeing new pictures! :)

My son Andrew phoned yesterday. His graduation from AE school is today Pensacola NAS about 0900 their time. He also related that with Gustav coming the students are on notice that they could be place on "lock down in preparation for an evacuation. I am praying that the storm goes away from our troops.

Congrats to the new sailor. PIR is something to remember. We had a great time as well when our son graduated in June. He just left P'cola last week and is now at home and headed to San Diego next week. I'm sure your son will enjoy P'cola. My son loved it there.

Sam ignore my response my son said she would be able to go home no matter how far. She just has to put in the request.

Sam she will have to stay there. On holidays she can leave for the weekend but only 250 miles from base. You can go there to visit and she can stay with you off base for the holiday. Other than that they are stuck in P'cola. Once she graduates from P'cola she will then be able to come home for about two weeks. but you can go visit anytime you want.
