my wife was supposed to go to Pensacola sometime between August 11th through the 13th but, for some reason got stuck in Great Lakes with some of her other ship mates until the 21st, is what she was told. Said that some of her ship mates that were *supposed* to go to Pensacola, got rerouted to Virginia... and was also told that if she got to go down to Pensacola, that there is a 3 month waiting period for her to actually get into a class... And that would mean that depending on how long her wait and how long her class was, she wouldn't be able to come home until after she graduates from her class... I guess my question would be, now that she has graduated, IF she gets a 3 or 4 day weekend and is not in a class... would it be possible for her to come home for a couple of day or two without having to take any time away from her leave? Or does she really have to wait until she actually gets through the class in order to go anywhere?

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Evan has two more weeks of A school left and then will come home before heading to the USS Ronald Reagan. I hope everyone is doing well.

ofcourse everyone here wants to be top of there class. I beleive here in A school, if you graduate top of your class, you get a chance to advace right out of A school. another incentive that get sailor to try and to be top of there class is that they get might get to choose where they get to go. Well its more like they have a list of station with the rate open and the top people in class gets to choose from the list first where they want to go.

I know Wes is wanting to do very well also. . . he has started doing Saturday school also a couple weekends ago! I don't know if he is shooting for 'top of the class' but I know he has been proud of his work so far :). He is also looking forward to going to Pensacola.

Probably better to be a "study mustard" than a "catch-up"
...never heard this one before. Luke also commented Friday about wanting to be top in his class, so they must have mentioned some incentive in boot camp to make them want to excel. I'm all for it!

Hey everyone. I just wanted to check in on how everyone's sailor is doing. Evan is doing great. He has started school and has even joined a study group. It's called ( study mustard ) I think he is working towards being one of the top in his class. Let's hope. I don't know but maybe that will help in picking his new home in the Navy. Kevin you might know the answer to that. Anyway keep me posted on how our new sailors are doing.
