Hi Michele, I didn't even think to ask. I was just glad to hear Evan finally started. We can't wait untill he can come home again. Hope all is going well for you and Wes. Keep me posted on how he's doing.

Well hopefully me and James get class up at the same time although we are two different rates. If we do, that means we get out at the same time and I might be back for another visit.

Just wanted to chime in. My son thinks he might start school Thursday. ( lets hope ) We are ready for him to come home for a week or so. Keep me posted on how everyone's child is doing.

Billy welcome to our group. My son is in Pensacola waiting for his school to start. He will be an ABE. Not a bad place to just hang out while waiting. Bootcamp is rough but once Ricky makes it to P-cola he will have much more freedom. My son calls us everyday. We have a retired chief on this site that started the group airdales. He is very knowledgable in aviation. Please also join that group. Any questions please feel free to ask. EG

Hi I am a new navy dad. My son will leave for Pensacola on August the 18th for air traffic control training. I am very proud of him and miss him every day.

Bob my son would know exactly in ask a sailor. If I remember right he told me the wife cannot be with him in A school. It's just like bootcamp rules. He will be able to leave base and she and the kids would be able to visit him on base. He has a friend in a similar situation. I also think he said it is pretty costly to rent something around the base. After boot and A school the wife and kids will go with him the rest of the way.

My son Robert left for Basic June 30th Div 312 Ship 14. He is 23 yrs old married with two beautiful daughters ages 2 1/2 yrs old and 3 months. His school ABH is in Pensacola Fl. Will his wife be able to stay on base with him at school?? If not will he be able to spend time with her, if she rents a short term place there?? Does anyone have any suggestions on short term places near Pensacola base. Thanks for any advice
