Navydads Political Talk Rules and Guidelines

1. Whether Republican or Democrat we are all on the same team - The Navy's
2. Name calling or threats to any member because of their political stance will not be tolerated
3. Respect each others political views and debate them in a civil manner
4. Only a healthy debate will be allowed on this site
5. With the rules in place please feel free to join in on the debate

John and Luis have set a wonderful example of how we should debate things in a civil manner. I just want to be up front with everyone who participates in this discussion that I will not let this get out of hand. I want to warn everyone that this site is here to benefit us with our children's journey through the Navy not to slam each others political beliefs.

That being said I do understand that the next commander in chief will be relevant to us Navy parents. I encourage healthy debates when it comes to politics. It's what makes this country so great. We can have our own beliefs and we get to vote for whom we want in office. All I ask is for everyone to debate in a healthy manner not in a negative manner. Express your views and let others express theirs. I do not want this to be a negative response to this candidate or a negative response to that candidate. We all know that political talks can quickly become shouting matches and this is not the site for it.

Whichever candidate wins this election will be the one that we need to stand behind and support because this person will be our children's commander in chief. In the military it doesn't come down to whether you are a Republican or Democrat. In a time of war it comes down to protect your brothers in arms no matter what branch of military they are in or what their political, religious beliefs are. Navy, Marines, Airforce, Army and Coast Guard when it comes down to it will fight side by side to defend this great country's freedoms no matter where they come from.

Sincerely, Navydads Creator

Glad that someone else sees it. No one was in need of assistance so lets offer the money to some one that does not need it? Meanwhile lets raise the mill levy and create some new fee to keep funding this ##%

This is what is wrong with our Goverment. The following is from a city committee meeting, just read it and if you find nothing wrong, well you might just be a ???

MINUTES OF THE SUSTAINABILITY COMMISSION

JULY 28, 2011, CITY OF MISSION

                                                                                                                                        Neighborhood Services Updates

Mr. Duran asked Mr. Rauch to provide an update on Neighborhood Services. Mr. Rauch

displayed a table showing current assistance program expenditures to date, compared to

budgeted amounts. He noted that the department was having difficulty spending its budgeted

funds due to tight income restrictions for assistance and a lack of interested applicants across

programs. He also added that several bids for work had come in lower than expected.

Mr. Rauch explained that going forward the department would like to reorganize itself to be

more flexible with its assistance program spending. He stated that the 2012 Neighborhood

Services budget had been submitted to senior staff and was undergoing review. The 2012

Neighborhood Services budget combined many specific line-items for various programs into one

line-item and provided the department with more flexibility to spend from that line-item.

Mr. Rauch then displayed a draft assistance program application that would use a sliding income

scale and ranking system to evaluate applications. The commissioners discussed the proposed

application and ranking system and expressed general approval, agreeing that the sliding income

scale would allow more residents to participate. Mr. Gregg cautioned staff that opening the

program to more applicants and using a tiered scale would be beneficial, but would still have to

be compelling enough for people on the higher ends of the tiers to apply.

Mr. Rauch concluded by stating that the city had been and would continue to host a variety of

public budget discussions.

Please remember these true American men in your prayers.

Subject: Fwd:Navy Seals

Love the look! Go Navy Seals!!!!!

Begin forwarded message:

This is what the Navy Seal team looked like when they went in to get Bin Laden.
A couple of things to notice:
50 caliber sniper on the right.
Knee, knuckle and forearm protection.
Various plastic/wire ties.
Absolute identity denial to protect their families.
Free choice of footwear.
Fourth from the right has three artillery simulators and CS gas grenades
on his belly.  He's the 'shock and awe' guy.

Group Photo of Seal Team Six, . . . . . . .and you can imagine the look on Bin Laden's face when these guys came through the door?
Let's be clear on this: OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden. An American sailor, did.  In fact, if you remember a little less than two years ago, his administration actually charged and attempted to court-martial 3 Navy Seals from Seal Team Six, when a terrorist suspect they captured, complained they had punched him during the take down and bloodied his nose. His administration further commented how brutal they were. The left were calling them Nazi's and Baby Killers. Now all of a sudden, the very brave men they vilified are now heroes when they make his administration look good in the eyes of the public. Obama just happened to be the one in office when the CIA finally found the scumbag, and our sailors took him out. Essentially, Obama only gave an answer. Yes or No, to him being taken out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory!! Forward on IF YOU AGREE!!"

"Semper Fi"

OBAMA'S  OWN  WORDS TRAP HIM:

2008:  "Navy Seal Team 6 is Cheney's private assassination team."
2011:  "I put together Seal Team 6 to take out Bin Laden."

2008:  "Bin Laden is innocent until proven guilty, and must be captured alive and given a fair trial."
2011:  "I authorized Seal Team 6 to kill Bin Laden."

2008:   " Guantanamo is entirely unnecessary, and the detainees should not be interrogated."
2011:   "Vital intelligence was obtained from Guantanamo detainees that led to our locating Bin Laden."

I HOPE THIS GETS SENT AROUND TO PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT THE TRUTH!

BTW, I thought reclaiming Jesus was at least as funny as the 5730th Michael Moore is fat joke conservatives have foisted on us. Any Christian who has read John 3:16 knows that anyone, liberal or conservative, who accepts Jesus is saved. So maybe libs aren't the only tetchy ones around here, hmmm?

The brits are much better at this sort of thing; I saw a notice from the Queen repossessing the Colonies that was funnier than any of this.

Besides, my funniest jokes involve priests, rabbis and highly inappropriate stereotypes. Best not share them on the net. Only over beers.

Liberals do not have a sense of humor Paul and they are particularly sensitive to any criticism of those they esteem.

IT'S HUMOR FOLKS

Comment by Ray Norberto on August 11, 2011 at 7:57pm
"You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain..."
Islam is a major, legitimate faith which actually has many more ties to Judeo-Christian belief than acknowledged; Humanism is an ambiguous term, but overall applies to an approach to philosophy that dates back thousands of years, and appears among many cultures; political correctness has come to be a pejorative term toward those who tried to open their minds to the experiences of other cultures, some of which had been severely oppressed in the past; Scientology is a modern religion formed by L Ron Hubbard, whose bona fides were rooted in his science fiction novels of the mid 20th century - I think he must be laughing in his afterlife that folks took him seriously; and Shirley McLaine is - well, just plain nuts!
My point is, these concepts/person should not be grouped as Mr. Wall did in his Suit for Divorce.
I think the system isn't broken, but the knuckleheads floating around the halls of Washington are.

We libs will keep Jesus, thank you!

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

The person that wrote this is a college student. Perhaps there is hope for us after all.

DIVORCE AGREEMENT

THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY WELL PUT AND I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT'S BY A YOUNG PERSON, A STUDENT!!! WHATEVER HE RUNS FOR, I'LL VOTE FOR HIM.

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:We have stuck together since the late 1950's for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what

is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

--Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be

the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

--We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them.

--You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.--Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.

--We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and you can go with wind, solar and biodiesel.

--You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.

--We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street.

--You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and illegal aliens.

--We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks.

--We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood

--You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.

--You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

--We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.

--You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

--We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volt and Leaf you can find.

--You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors.

--We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right.

--We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The National Anthem."

--I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine", "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "Kum Ba Ya" or "We Are the World".

--We'll practice trickle down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.

--Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you answer which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Sincerely,

John J. Wall

Law Student and an American

P.S. Also, please take Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin & Charlie Sheen, Barbara Streisand, & (Hanoi) Jane Fonda with you.

P.S.S. And you won't have to press 1 for English when you call our country.
