Navydads Political Talk Rules and Guidelines

1. Whether Republican or Democrat we are all on the same team - The Navy's
2. Name calling or threats to any member because of their political stance will not be tolerated
3. Respect each others political views and debate them in a civil manner
4. Only a healthy debate will be allowed on this site
5. With the rules in place please feel free to join in on the debate

John and Luis have set a wonderful example of how we should debate things in a civil manner. I just want to be up front with everyone who participates in this discussion that I will not let this get out of hand. I want to warn everyone that this site is here to benefit us with our children's journey through the Navy not to slam each others political beliefs.

That being said I do understand that the next commander in chief will be relevant to us Navy parents. I encourage healthy debates when it comes to politics. It's what makes this country so great. We can have our own beliefs and we get to vote for whom we want in office. All I ask is for everyone to debate in a healthy manner not in a negative manner. Express your views and let others express theirs. I do not want this to be a negative response to this candidate or a negative response to that candidate. We all know that political talks can quickly become shouting matches and this is not the site for it.

Whichever candidate wins this election will be the one that we need to stand behind and support because this person will be our children's commander in chief. In the military it doesn't come down to whether you are a Republican or Democrat. In a time of war it comes down to protect your brothers in arms no matter what branch of military they are in or what their political, religious beliefs are. Navy, Marines, Airforce, Army and Coast Guard when it comes down to it will fight side by side to defend this great country's freedoms no matter where they come from.

Sincerely, Navydads Creator

I make no claims to accuracy, but I happened across this on the 'net a few minutes ago:

Very quietly yesterday, the federal government announced a new "PLAN" that gives President Obama "texting" powers over all U.S. cell phones. Under the Federal Communications Commission "PLAN" (Personal Localized Alerting Network), beginning next year cell phones "will be required to be fitted with special chips to receive the alerts," reports the Telegraph. Local and state alerts will be able to be blocked by users, but not texts from the "Texter-In-Chief."

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is calling this a "quantum leap forward," citing the events of 9/11 as justification for this invasive government intrusion. It is not clear if the chip being installed provides the government with more than the ability to send unblockable text messages.

BY A 15 yr. Old SCHOOL KID IN ARIZONA

New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME)!

Since the Pledge of Allegiance
And
The Lord's Prayer
Are not allowed in most
Public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned.....
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached

NEW School prayer:

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.

If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong..

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles..
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

Since the military photographs and records EVERYTHING ELSE, I would imagine there are some really good digital prints and video on file right now. Plus, I think no matter how heinous an individual is, the meat is pretty damn tasty to the ocean's food chain chasers.
LOL Mike!

I hope they video taped the entire event. I don't want romours that he is alive and well raising his new breed in Argentina or Chile. I wont be eating fish for a year or two just in case.

No idea, but I suspect they have plenty of photos, witnesses and DNA to prove their point. And who knows how much bacon they wrapped him in before the drop?

But I hope they have a long form death certificate, too!

Sorry but I have a question. Why would we go to all the effort to shoot Bin Laden in the head and then drop his worthless corps off in the sea to leave the door open for doubt? Why poison the fish, I thought this administration was eco friendly?

I have to agree with a little of what everyone has posted. The Birther issue could of been avoided from the start, now the education issue is at hand. What does it matter? the man is our President and the voters put him there. Lesson learned is that all this should be resolved during the campaign, a person running for president better well have a clean record and be willing to disclose some very personal information from here on out.
