Navydads Political Talk Rules and Guidelines

1. Whether Republican or Democrat we are all on the same team - The Navy's
2. Name calling or threats to any member because of their political stance will not be tolerated
3. Respect each others political views and debate them in a civil manner
4. Only a healthy debate will be allowed on this site
5. With the rules in place please feel free to join in on the debate

John and Luis have set a wonderful example of how we should debate things in a civil manner. I just want to be up front with everyone who participates in this discussion that I will not let this get out of hand. I want to warn everyone that this site is here to benefit us with our children's journey through the Navy not to slam each others political beliefs.

That being said I do understand that the next commander in chief will be relevant to us Navy parents. I encourage healthy debates when it comes to politics. It's what makes this country so great. We can have our own beliefs and we get to vote for whom we want in office. All I ask is for everyone to debate in a healthy manner not in a negative manner. Express your views and let others express theirs. I do not want this to be a negative response to this candidate or a negative response to that candidate. We all know that political talks can quickly become shouting matches and this is not the site for it.

Whichever candidate wins this election will be the one that we need to stand behind and support because this person will be our children's commander in chief. In the military it doesn't come down to whether you are a Republican or Democrat. In a time of war it comes down to protect your brothers in arms no matter what branch of military they are in or what their political, religious beliefs are. Navy, Marines, Airforce, Army and Coast Guard when it comes down to it will fight side by side to defend this great country's freedoms no matter where they come from.

Sincerely, Navydads Creator

Mike i am like you i blame everything on Bush and the GOP. after the November elections i will gladly give you a beach towel so you can dry all the tears from your eyes and blow your snot filled nose.
The evidence is speaking more and more each day.

Presumption of innocence isn't just for people you like. I'm sure NSA is listening very carefully.

Odd that you are more bothered by the mosque than the GOP blocking what should have been a routine bill to help the 9/11 first responders. Is getting Obama so important to you that you are forgetting the people who were running up the Twin Towers when everyone else was running down? The evidence says yes.

What a slap in the face for our real hero's and all the innocent people who died. So lets us give the religion of peace just what they want, after all its the PC thing to do .

@jayray -- hear, hear

I would also point out this wasn't the big bad feds, it was a county government. The tyranny of petty local and state government also isn't pretty, and has often been far more harmful than this quickly resolved incident.

I give you the murderers of Emmitt Till and the terrorists who blew 4 little girls to bits with an IED in the American South. The killers were well known, but the local and state government made sure no one went to jail for these acts.

It was the federal government who had to step in to provide "liberty and justice for all". In the case of Little Rock, this meant the 101st Airborne defending children's right to go to school.

Too many of us still believe in "liberty and justice for all except..."

911 mosque constrasted with congress denying money to first responders

Kipling would be totally unsurprised by the greed is good GOP blocking money for 9/11 first responder's disabilities. Tax cuts for the top 1% of incomes are much more important, deficits and disabled veterans be damned.

"O thirty million English that babble of England's might,
Behold there are twenty heroes who lack their food to-night;
Our children's children are lisping to "honour the charge they made - "
And we leave to the streets and the workhouse the charge of the Light Brigade! "

Pat,
Next you will have to pay taxes for the food you would have purchard had you not worked so hard in your garden to provide food for yourself. After all you selfish twit, you didn't think to grow enough for those who are to lazy to grow their own food and are waiting for their portion from you. Anyone who thinks the fruit of hard work should be wasted on just the ones that did the work does not understand the Obama plan. Take from the producers the spoils of their greed and labor and give to the worthless no good for nothing scumb sucking maggots that vote for liberals who preach and teach, Racism, Tree Hugging and Wealth redistribution. Democrate/Socialist Hear the words of Obamas Hero's. "Praise the Worker!" because they feed the lazy asses that do nothing except lie, paint, sing, sculpt, work for a news outlets, not named Fox and run for political office.
