Navydads Political Talk Rules and Guidelines

1. Whether Republican or Democrat we are all on the same team - The Navy's
2. Name calling or threats to any member because of their political stance will not be tolerated
3. Respect each others political views and debate them in a civil manner
4. Only a healthy debate will be allowed on this site
5. With the rules in place please feel free to join in on the debate

John and Luis have set a wonderful example of how we should debate things in a civil manner. I just want to be up front with everyone who participates in this discussion that I will not let this get out of hand. I want to warn everyone that this site is here to benefit us with our children's journey through the Navy not to slam each others political beliefs.

That being said I do understand that the next commander in chief will be relevant to us Navy parents. I encourage healthy debates when it comes to politics. It's what makes this country so great. We can have our own beliefs and we get to vote for whom we want in office. All I ask is for everyone to debate in a healthy manner not in a negative manner. Express your views and let others express theirs. I do not want this to be a negative response to this candidate or a negative response to that candidate. We all know that political talks can quickly become shouting matches and this is not the site for it.

Whichever candidate wins this election will be the one that we need to stand behind and support because this person will be our children's commander in chief. In the military it doesn't come down to whether you are a Republican or Democrat. In a time of war it comes down to protect your brothers in arms no matter what branch of military they are in or what their political, religious beliefs are. Navy, Marines, Airforce, Army and Coast Guard when it comes down to it will fight side by side to defend this great country's freedoms no matter where they come from.

Sincerely, Navydads Creator

So true Jim, the Canadians are happy to live on goverment owned land , throw in a little military support when necessary and winter in the USA if wealthy. No one to invade their borders unless a draft is underway. Truth be known they have their own immigration problem

I think I need to clarify...

The problem is not with the 4th amendment, the problem is the way the government has run rough-shod all over it, and many of the rest of them too... :-(

BTW, there is absolutely nothing unconstitutional about protecting out borders. In fact just the opposite should be inferred. The government is acting *UNCONSTITUTIONALLY* by failing to control the borders.

Personally, I'm sick and tired of every politico that fails to uphold their oath of office, because ignoring the laws has conveniently become the path
of least resistance.

It's time to form the "HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE PARTY" whose charter should be : {queue the creepy music}

"With intent and authority to punish those politicos that screwed us all"
-- or -- {switch music to Rocky & Bullwinkle theme}
"You can run, but you can't hide."

I,m with Greg and Rex on this one, I have many Hispanic friends that were born and raised here. I ran a business on the Westside of KC for 16 years,wich is mostly a Hispanic area, I was much more welcome to the community than the illegals that where attracted to the area.

Some of the sanctuary cities offer little or no help to the illegals, but sure can criticize Arizona .

Well said Greg ! that's a big problem with the feds there are laws for immigration that are not enforced , seems turning a blind eye is the way to go. i have no problem with any one who wants to come her to immigrate the legal way.
have you ever wondered how the people feel ,the ones who come here legally and get there citizenship as opposed to the illegals who get a free ride health care , schooling , ect. If people would take the time to study the bill as opposed to believing what the liberal media is saying, The bill in my opinion is not so racist or full of propaganda.
Mike you have no idea how life is until you have lived in a border state . it doesn't matter show me your passport or papers or visa .

Mike ,
I live in AZ and also have traveled to 40 other countries in this world. There is no one running around demanding papers from people on the street, however enforcing the laws that are on the books already, is not "plain unconstitutional and immoral", it is following the rule of law set down in writting from our nations foundation so that we would be a law abiding nation. When I travel abroad I am always supposed to have my visa and passport to show I am in the country legally. Why should our nation be different. The problem we have is we offer illegal or "undocumented " alliens welfare once they arrive. My wife and mother in law both immigrated legally, and there are laws made for legal immigration. Follow the LAW and there is no problem.

Hey Mike,

So I guess you're capitulating to the path of lease resistance. If a law is broken enough times the enforcement of that law should be abandoned.

I doubt that is what you really think.

I have no problem with immigrants or immigration, as long as both are *legal*. What has happened is that a few violators have spoiled the situation for the rest that chose to comply with the law.

If there was a way to purge the illegal population, then I'd be right there on a soapbox defiantly burning my papers in protest! We all agree that there is a problem with the 4th amendment. I also suggest that we fix it, but if an investigation based on a "reasonable suspicion" results in deportations, I really can't say that the outcome is unwelcome.
