Praying for your son and all the amazing sons and daughters, sailors who are at Great Lakes, and serving all across the world

He'll be fine.....when he gets hungry, he'll eat!

I would like anyone to help me pray for my son and all the young sailors in A school at Great Lakes. They have a real stressful job. My son weighed 138 pounds when he started basic and he lost ten pounds in basic. I worry that they are not getting enough nutritional meals there.

Thank you Richard.  She has always been a go getter,  took 2 tests, No maps, had 3 weeks to turn down a full ride at college and give me POA...swore in and left (1st time flying) by herself to Chicago.  did a speed course in firefighting.....was a grad-n-go...ended up with shin splints that turned into stress fractures....was given 2 chances to take medical discharge.....went straight to the Middle East, signed up for her 2nd year while she was over there.  Went to Japan/Korea from there, We flew to Japan in 2010 to spend Christmas/new years with her.  After her time was up there she went to the Pentagon (Joint chief of staff).  She is Intel so has worked with all branches of the Military.  she advanced quickly.....She met Joe in A-school and they have stayed in contact the whole time just on opposite sides of the world until Aug. 2014.  They have been married a year and bought a house in VA hoping they could hope from one base to another until they had their 20 in.  Her original plan was when she went civilian she'd get a government contract....and keep doing what she was doing.  What she does she cannot have dependents so that all changed and a lot of those jobs are no longer there, when they changed things in the military.

She Always thinks things through and plans....Joe can be just jump!  LOL  He's a lot of fun, fits right into our family and we love him to death But he's not fully grown up yet.  Appreciate any Prayers on their behalf.  That they follow God's plan for their lives.

Have a Blessed day.

Blondie, I will offer a prayer today...that said, and I no doubt missed some of your posts on the subject, all in, the transition to civilian life for your sailor seems like a good plan; provided the Navy thinks so. Your daughter and son-n-law appear to have thought things out and are ready for a new chapter in their lives.  Regardless, know I will be praying for you and them today...All the Best!  Rich

Update on my Sailors.  Our daughter has asked to be dismissed from duty.  She was placed on inactive after 8 years, so she could be married.  She has started college classes and has 2 more classes, which she started this week to get her degree.  She has been working as a reserve as support for Naples Italy and was suppose to fly over this summer for active duty.  She has done some Amazing things and been where few people have even been (only 2% of our military)  She doesn't see this deployment as fitting into her life now, and is not going to help her military career.  They are trying to start a family.  Joe is still teaching and has 1 more year left on this contract, he'd like to stay around the VA area but knows he could get deployed again, but he really wants to be here for the whole 9 months and delivery.  they have decided that the best solution would be for her to get out and that way depending where he goes she could follow.  Her degree is in medical because every base has a medical facility......They are just waiting on her command to respond to her letter, which she had talked over with her CO and handler. so it wasn't a surprise.

Sorry if this is confusing but I guess I'm just trying to talk myself thru it.  Not a complete shock but we thought she'd go reserve if anything.  And to give up Italy!  But she has always wanted children of her own and she feels time ticking.  Also there are problems with conceiving in the family so.....

Please Pray that God's will be done.

Thank you and God Bless.

With prayers on behalf of both families........Congratulations to Bill and your  family on your son's achievement.
