Hey Steven - Sorry to hear about your son. I remember being in a transfer barracks for a week and I roomed with a man who had been dropped because of a neck injury and all he wanted was to heal so that he could try it again.  I thought he was crazy but men like your son aren't crazy, they're just cut from a different cloth and they have determination like nothing I've ever seen.  God has created your son with that personality and He will show him exactly what His plan for his life is.  I pray that your son will carry that same heart and determination into the new phase of his life.

the power of faith and prayer: read Fearless : it's the story of Adam Brown who overcame unbelievable barriers through faith and prayer and perseverance to become a legendary operator in DEVGRU

We are so sorry Steven. Your son will be in our prayers. Both for healing and direction.

Prayers for my son who was dropped from BUDs #299 today for a recurring injury which kept him from passing one last O Course in the fibal week of Phase 1. He made it through Hell Week and never gave up. He's my hero. He needs God's comfort as he is naturally very disappointed. God has a plan for him.

Many of you will remember Lt. Nick Vogt who we've been praying for for quite some time. Our son, Heath, texted me today from PT and said "Mom, guess who I just met?" He and Nick had PT together today. Such a small world, isn't it? Heath told us how humbling is was to meet Nick and that he was surprised by the emotions that he had. I told him that it's hard to pray for someone for 18 months and not grow to care deeply about them. It's funny how God connects our hearts.

Know that you will all be in our prayers this weekend.

For these brave men, no greater love and no greater sacrifice than to give your life serving this country and your fellow man. But for the Reyher and Harris families, no greater pain and suffering could you endure than from the loss of your sons. May The Lord hold you in the palm of his hand and somehow help you cope with this pain and sorrow until that day when you are reunited with them.

We're so glad to hear the good news on Stephen, Jim! We'll continue to pray for you all.
