Please share this with everyone you know. This wonderful man lives right around the corner from me.

Col. Barfoot is a 90 year-old veteran of three wars who has been told he has to take down his flag pole because of his homeowner's asociation-even though there is no clause addressing flagpoles in the contract!

From the Richmond Times-Dispatch:
"Barfoot received the Medal of Honor on the battlefield during World War II in Italy and fought as well in the Korean and Vietnam wars. A portion of a highway in rural Mississippi, his native state, was named in his honor this fall. A building at McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond also carries his name."
You can sign the following petition to help Col. Barfoot and allow him to continue to fly his flag. This is the petition website:

Thank you!

Hi Sailor, I see that Dylan is having a hard time with Arthur being gone.
Have you thought of giving him some projects to work on, for when Arthur comes home for Christmas. He could make some welcome home signs, and have them all ready. How about making some special Seabee ornaments for the tree... there are lots of graphics that he could print/laminate and string for the tree,, and how about him actually making Arthurs favorite cake or cookies. Hugs!!!

Hi Sailor07,we have had to deal with the same thing here as far as a younger brother losing his older brother to the military. It was pretty tough on the little one,but he has learned to accept it.Our daughters took him up to a Thurston County animal shelter and got him a dog to try to ease some of the loneliness. It seemed to work for a while!I think that now he knows that his big bro being gone is just a fact of life and that he will be home when he gets home.
take care and have a good day!
