Hi Ed.... Glad to hear that Eddie is doing good.Has he had much chance to check out the night life there? What are the barracks like?I am sure the food is good seeing as how that is a regular duty station! As far as getting the military to help get a vehicle back there, might as well shout at the moon. With our wonderful govt. cutting back on everything except their own spending a person might as well figure on what you get you have and hold on tight to that.

Talked to James this evening and he is doing real good.PT 3 days a week and the gym 5 days a week.He says he has been doing work detail every day which, from what he has said is pretty easy..right now they are building crates.James says he will start ECS in about 2 weeks and he is primed and ready to go.
James says he is going to take his rig back with him when he comes home for Elk hunt. That will be the second week of November. He figures it will take him about 21 hours,or 2 easy days drive.Looking forward to November!!!!!!!

Well time to go for now. Getting late and the baseball tourny took a lot out of me this past week.Talk to you later!

And one more thing, do you know is there any way the Navy would help in shipping Eddie's truck to his base??? or is that something we have to do??

Hey Joe.... My son is in Gulf Port now.. He just finished"A" school about 2 weeks ago.He came home on leave and then went back for ECS.He also is a welder. As far as your daughter doing something else, other than welding may be a little bit premature as that is just their main job,but they will ,over time also learn other crafts in construction. There are several things they will learn in the construction trades such as working concrete, framing, electrical, water well drilling, and running heavy equipment. So,as you can see your daughter may have not made such a bad choice.Sometimes we,as parents have to just let our younguns make the choices and hope for the best.. Sometimes they can surprise us!

Best of luck to your daughter.I am sure she will do just fine!
You all take care and enjoy the ride !

Hi Ed..Good deal on the 4th and thanks for the help with the cards..

When you find out which way Eddie goes as far as training let me know if you could..Be interesting to hear what happens!

James got back last night about nine, everything was all messed up as far as which barracks he was supposed to check into.He ended up back over at the "A" school barracks until this evening. From what i was told ,sounded like whomever checked him out 2 weeks ago messed up,but like he said s**t rolls down hill.Guess he ended up with a minor butt chewing...I told him that was fine,it builds character! At least we know it will not happen again..

Talk to you later !!!!Hope you had a good eve !
