Welcome To Our Sailors Art Gallery

It's something about Sailors and tattoo's. My son has been tatting up since in the Navy. I have none but he just got his second. I'm curious if anyone else's child has gotten a tattoo since joining the Navy. I know that Sailors have been known for tattoo's and my son is carrying on the tradition. This group is to show off your Sailors tattoos. I think we will call this our Sailors Art Gallery.

Hi Everyone!!! How is it going today? It's a fine Navy day in the Paciafic Northwest today!
Ok about the snake....
that isn't the best picture of it first of all. The symbol underneath of it is the Chinese symbol for hope. On my upper are is a soild black tribal tiger. ( I will post I picture as soon as I find it.) The snake is the Chinese zodiac symbol for my significant other, Tom. (Coast Guard Vet ) The tiger is the Chinese zodiac symbol for the year I was born. Eventually my whole arm or most of it will be covered with ivy and myrtle flowers. Both symbols of fidelity and marriage. Although sadly I will never marry Tom, (we have both been there, done that) we are committed to each other as if married and this is my tribute to our relationship. Hopefully this weekend I will add the Chinese symbol for love on my upper arm beneath my tiger. Yes, I will post pictures. I love my tats so much. They all have very special meanings. I have 3 on my left lower leg right above my ankle, 1 on the side of my neck on the left side, below my ear, 1 one my left wrist slightly above my sleeve cuff and 1 on my right shoulder blade. That was the one I got right out of boot camp. Some people say it is an addiction. I really think that it is an of yourself. Each of my tattoos has a very importatnt meaning to me. I can't wait to get the one I planned for my son Paul... :)

Ah ha EG....I know how I can get a tat...get drunk! I'm sure, here in Boise, there wouldn't be a long wait. Now, you get your Cindy drunk at the same time, then we can both get a tat. Are you saying that you've not been drunk since? ;-)

Terri, you are one brave lady! No way, on this green earth, would I get a tat that size. As you have just read, I'd have to be drunk or out of my mind before I'd let all those needles touch me!

Francine not to big on the Tide but there is one place that I love. Talladega! I'm only a state over so my allegiance is with the Ole Miss Rebels." Hotty Totty! " Ok maybe include Orange Beach, Al to.

Terri that is a serious tat, Ouch! how many do you have total? Under the snake what does the symbol mean. I'm with Francine, too scared, the closest I came was in New Orleans, I had the drunk part down so I was good there but the wait was way to long. I've never come that close again. Plus I hate needles.

Did someone say tats???? My favorite art form...LOL Take a gander at my id pic. That's me...not my son. There would be NO WAY Paul would get a tattoo. That's ok, I have enough to make up for that. I got my first one after I graduated Navy boot camp back in 1986. The snake is on my right forearm and is the latest. Have no fear...as I get more, cuz you know I will, I will definately show them off. :)

Cindy you definately want to get a tat that means something to you. It will be with you for the rest of your life, so like Dana said be sure and take your time and get what you want. My first one I got was my wifes name on my ring finger. I can't wear jewelry due to to much acid in my system. my second that I got at the same time was a medicine wheel that I drew when I was 15. I got these done when I was 32. so yeah I took my time getting them just right before I got them.

awe Cindy you will love it just take your time choosing it...took me over 2 years to find my 1st one.Tristan found it on google, printed it out then we added to it.
Its a cresent moon and 4 stars(with some clouds flowing thru it)
the moon represents me and the stars are my 4 kids...so its me and them always together
when i go to Jax next monday to be with Tristan i am hoping to get my 2nd one...another cresent moon and some "lil" stars..me and my 5 grandbabies this time!!!

Bet the girls love him! Morgan had the arms, but his pecs weren't quite that big. He was very well purportioned. Still trying to decide it I want to get a tat. Part of me says go for it just because of the adventure. The other part is saying absolutely no way.
