Welcome To Our Sailors Art Gallery

It's something about Sailors and tattoo's. My son has been tatting up since in the Navy. I have none but he just got his second. I'm curious if anyone else's child has gotten a tattoo since joining the Navy. I know that Sailors have been known for tattoo's and my son is carrying on the tradition. This group is to show off your Sailors tattoos. I think we will call this our Sailors Art Gallery.

This is my son Trevor's first Tat. He has a very musical background so he took and got a Bass and A Treble clef put together in the shape of a heart and had his wifes name in chinese writting put under it. Trevor, my wife and I are going to go together and get tats done when he gets out of A-school and gets his first assingment. Trevor and I are getting matching Tats, My wife is going to get his Dogtags done on her left ankle and foot

That's a cool tat, Francine! I love Asian stuff. What made the buddy decide to get it done that way?

personally, knowing lots of these guys that have multiple tats, i think they think about, train for, & see/experience things that make them want to remember the good. they grow up & mature SO quickly & i think they realize super fast the things that are most important to them.

now... my husband... no clue still why he got the tat he got lol. i mean, the crows of Dumbo? LOL he's a little goofy tho. but now he's all domesticated & stuff ;-) he wants to get a more meaningful one. lol

Johnna ~ Whoever did the tat did a nice job. I told E.G.'s wife, Cindy, that we should get a Navy Mom tat. She said she was too old. I don't know if I could just because of the piercing of the skin and the pain! So, have you figured out why, when they get into the military, they feel this compulsion to get a tattoo?

My Daughter Lynette got her first tattoo about a week ago, a rose with my name her brothers and her sisters name in a banner around the rose, I felt honored by this although I would have prefered "Mom" instead of my first name lol, but oh well I still love it and it makes me feel special.

On 9/11, Paul's grandfather (my dad) died. That, plus the events of the day made a huge impact on him and, I believe, propelled him to join the Navy. This is the NYC skyline with the Twin Towers. I think it took about 15 hours in total, and a lot of coin.

I'm with you E.G. ~ What is it about the Navy that causes our kids to get tats. Must be too much of something! Okay, so, here's Morgan's newest tat. At least he was thinking about keeping it hidden while he's in uniform. I'm still going to reserve my judgement until I see it as this pic was taken from his cell.

Kat sent me a text correcting me...it is a Phoenix and not a Pegasus...I blamed the mixup on my age.......
