Ditto here, important things and valuable items sent only to my son's personal address.
My son told us the same thing as Cheri mentioned: 'Don't send anything expensive to his on Base box' for the same reasons. He has a PO Box off base that he uses to receive important mail.
It is my understanding that the mail sent to the boat's FPO will follow the boat until it eventually catches up. I think when it catches up to them is a matter of luck and timing.

Robert, My son's an MM nuclear. There are 2 Joshua's on the Tn, He's the red headed one. He's been on the Tn since last October.
