My son is back from his first patrol and sporting his dolphins and strategic deterrence patrol pin. He got his dolphins on December 25th. What a Christmas present. He also said he made senior in rate while he was gone. He's on the USS Tennessee.

Phillip Konz, we got a text message from our son's female friend.  She said she has received emails from Michael.  She said he should contact us next month.

I finally heard from my son. And still around southeastern seas. I can tell he's ready for some shore duty.

Forgot to post the update - my son earned his dolphins aboard SSBN 733, Nevada last week. We are proud of his accomplishments in the Navy and appreciate all the excellent support and guidance he has been receiving from the crew.

Hi Everyone,

Today's Navy Picture of the day is of the sub my son is on. Haven't heard from him for a while, but it's good knowing they got some sunshine for a change. Just being a proud Daddy.

This is from last year, but for those who haven't seen it, it's very cool. A submarine version of "A Night Before Christmas".
