Navy Dads

Great site! Just a quick question about liberty. My nefew is at BESS and -although a great guy- wants to come home to FL for a long weekend (his Mom is looking at tickets). I made the mistake of blurting out to my sister what a bad idea that was, but now I'm wondering. My Navy days had distance limits on liberty, especially on the lower ranks. Any limits on E-1 and E-2 BESS students? I wouldn't put it past him to forget to tell his Mom about Liberty restrictions.
THANKS

I have no idea, but it was always a 50 mile radius of base for week-end liberty without a signed request chit!
the dependability of todays airlines could leave him behind an 8ball (Get the chit first) C.Y.A.
Thanks for the fast response! Just called the quarter Deck and the Duty Petty Officer laughed a bit with me, but a 4 day weekend pass has a 600 mile restriction (florida is double that). He also repeated getting a chit to CYA, but added that they don't just hand those out. Now to tell my family what they don't want to hear...
