School Duration
My son just completed his PIR and went to Groton the next morning. Can anyone tell me appoximately how long he could be in Groton?

Hi Jerry,
I went back and reviewed my posts. BESS seems like 7 weeks. My son was in from Late July to Early Sept last year. Then he continued at Groton for ATT(?) until late October. But not everyone stays in Groton following BESS.

My son got their the day after Boot Camp (Dec. 2009) and is still there. The last I heard he should finish late this fall or early winter. So, his total stay may be close to a year.

Well my son Justin went to Groton after bootcamp in August of 08 and finished all his classes (BeSS, Basic mechanics, and torp) in Feb of 09. For some of the classes he had to wait until there were enough to fill the class, so give or take 6 months.
