Jack, I am sorry. I just saw your message about car shipment. They just picked up our son's car last Friday and he got it Saturday. I have the info if you need it. Sorry for the delay.

I too would like to find out the details of having my son's truck shipped to him.  He is no longer in sub school, but assigned to the Alabama based in Bangor, Washington.  Mitch, can you e-mail me the details of having a vehicle shipped.  It would sure be easier than driving it all the way from Fort Worth, Texas.

Mitch, yes- can you please email the info on the car. As much as I wouldn't mind the windshield time coming from So Cal to KB, GA is a long, long trip. 3-days at best and more like 4. Plus I'd hate to have a mechanical issue and have to find a bus, train, or plane to get him back to base on time.

Thanks KHK - yes my son is on track. Some times he is slightly ahead but he is doing the evening class time to keep current. Also finding a few study-buddies is helping. FYI- same name.

Oh yeah, almost forgot - he suckered me into a father-son "road trip" when he gets a few weeks leave to take his car to GA! If I could drive his sister to-and-from TCU I can make a one-way road trip for my sailor anytime.

Mitch - was out of town for a while. Yes, BMS is basic Mechanical School. This is a hammer, you use it to pound on things. This is a wrench, you use it to turn bolts. Sometimes you can use a wrench as a hammer but you can never use a hammer as a wrench.

ATT is the serious electrical school. Easy for the guys who took electronic labs in HS or JC but it does get hard quickly. Plenty of time in the evening for study.

Also, my son told us this weekend his flight of guys going through MT will likely be heading to GA mid-April then waiting for your son's group to get through before the C-school gets started. They need a larger class before they start.

Jack is BMS Mechanical School? And what is ATT?
