You can go onto the Blues Facebook page and let them know you will be attending that show. It's under the Events tab on their page!

Ok, I will try to remember to send you a reminder. If he can, that's great and if not- we're still going. Tell him I said good luck. Maybe we can meet up another time. If you are ever in the Birmingham, Alabama area, look me up.

David will have just arrived in P'cola a week or two before the show you are going to. I don't know if he will be able to help arrange something for your group or not. I'll try to remember to ask him; you might want to send me a reminder!

No, David is an AO2 and is the LPO of his shop at FRC (Fleet Readiness Center), Washington, DC. He was a scout but never a Sea Cadet. He just finished up his first tour (4 years) and reenlisted a couple weeks ago. It doesn't appear my wife and I will be in P'cola in November (we live in PA). We are hoping to make it down in the Spring when the Blues get back from El Centro. David will still be in training in November so he probably will not have a crest on his uniform at that point; he has to earn it. You should try contacting their PR department about a photo opportunity. Try to do that well in advance. It might just be possible. They were available for numerous photos on DOD Day at Joint Base Andrews in May so we had our photo taken with a Blue Jet and all of the pilots at that time. I believe they even take people up for rides on Fat Albert on occasion!

That is awesome! I thought he was a sea cadet- sorry. We will be going to Pensacola to the Blue Angels Airshow for their Homecoming show in November. You'll have to tell him to look us up if he has time- we are hoping to get a tour with the Blue Angels and have pictures made with them for the cadets-it just depends on if we can get someone to help us out. Our cadets will be in the dress whites (cracker jacks) and our officers will be in Khakis- we are always the only ones in dress uniform at the show, so it shouldn't be hard to find us. Will you be attending too? Would love to meet you both!

David was given a Temporary Duty Assignment from FRC Washington, DC, for the 2-week camp. He decided he may want to try his hand at being a BC Company Commander some time in the future. For now, he will be finishing up at FRC in October and heading down to Pensacola to join the Blue Angels as a Crew Chief.

That's awesome Mike! Our daughter was the RPoc for her age group, the Navy Leaguers while she was at League Orientation.

Our son was a company commander at the Sea Cadet summer camp located at Ft. Indiantown Gap, PA, in 2009. He ended up with the top company!
