In the past few days I became aware of other family members that have kids/ grand kids serving on the Tennessee. Towards that end I created this group as sort of a parent FRG (Family Readiness Group) so that we can support our sailors.
This group does not have any discussions yet.

John,
Welcome aboard. tell us a little about your son, Blue or Gold crew, whats he do?
It's been 8 months since my last post. I guess it shows how exciting things are. The son's went out on a run in the spring. For those that read the news, the Russian fishing boat(yeah, right) was an interesting read. The boy just finished quality assurance certification class. He'll also be giving us a new grand daughter in September. That's all for now.
BZ Blue Crew for a good deployment and successful fireworks show. Enjoy off crew.
Fair Winds and following seas Blue.
Just heard from my son today. He's received the NAM Achievement Medal for his performance on his last deployment. BZ son.
Robert, congratulations on you son getting his fish. A lot of people don't realize what our children go thru to get them.
Well, Gold Crew got back last week. So my son is getting ready to go out for his first time in a few weeks.
Skyped with my son a bit last night. He is going to be a Division Officer on Blue Crew. He has met with his superior and his Chief as well as the sailors who will be in his division, and believes that he will get along great with them. His division is overall very experienced, and he's afraid that he will slow them down!
He also said that everyone seems to like the new skipper, and he is looking forward to his first time Under Way. It'll be here before we know it.
Scott, If you will confirm my friend request I'll email you the 734 Blue Crews ombudsman's name and telephone number.
Thanks Joshua. He is an O-1 and assigned to Blue. He did his Oral Board at Prototype on 3/12. We went to see him graduate on the 15th, but they've delayed graduation until 3/29. Oh well. At least we got to spend some time with him.
His orders are to report in sometime in April. He plans to take leave and come home for a brief visit after graduation.
I do have a question. I have tried contacting the ombudsman through the ombudsman website https://ombudsmanregistry.org/?m=contactombudsman, but have not gotten a response. Is there a better way to contact the ombudsman?
Thanks again!
